KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Management, development and mentoring of staff.
    • Prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance Australian GAAP for Professional Service Firms.
    • Design, develop and analyse financial models and reports;
    • Preparation of budgets and forecasts;
    • Identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues;
    • Analyse management accounting reports and provide insight and advice to key stakeholders;
    • Develop strong relationships across the business;
    • Review and improve business processes;
    • Advise key stakeholders on practical and commercial issues and develop solutions which genuinely add value to the business;
    • Maintain accounting records in accordance with firm policies and procedures including processing of journal entries;
    • Share knowledge and best practice to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team;
    • Prepare cash flow forecasts, identify risks and cash flow sensitivities;
    • Maintain records of partner capital and calculate payments to partners;
    • Assist with the annual partner profit assessment and oversee the maintenance of supporting financial models and records.
    • Assist with other Group Finance activities as and when required

To be successful in this position: 

  • CA / CPA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years senior management accounting / FP&A experience
  • Proven experience with
    • Leading teams
    • Business partnering
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Desirable: 

  • Experience with Workday / Adaptive Planning
  • Experience working in an accounting / professional services firm
