Position Summary

Opportunity for a Manager / Senior Manager to join a growing M&A team in Melbourne. You will oversee multiple projects, manage a small cohesive team and will report directly to the leadership team.

You will have the opportunity to drive and add value on a wide variety of M&A projects with differing levels of complexity for various client types across a wide range of industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead Advisory – end to end M&A and lead IPO execution (including target list, databook and information memorandum preparation, financial due diligence and data room management, participate in transaction negotiations and stakeholder management);
• Work across sell-side, buy-side, capital raising and strategic advice;
• Management of project deliverables and adherence to transaction timeframes;
• Manage, develop and work collaboratively with junior members of the team;
• Build and manage client and stakeholder relationships; and
• Assist with deal origination and the preparation of proposals, engagements and pitch documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A degree in Business / Commerce / Law or Economics (CA / CFA favourable)
• 3-5 years’ experience in M&A within a top-tier / mid-tier accounting firm, investment bank or boutique advisory firm
• Experience in preparing information memoranda, databooks, proposals and other marketing documents
• Experience in managing multiple M&A projects from end to end
• Strong analytical and critical evaluation skills
• Ability to meet and work towards deadlines
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Attention to detail and commercially insightful
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Demonstrated experience leading a team
• Strong ethical standards
