Position summary
This position is primarily focusing on employment tax related matters for our clients and clients of RSM offices internationally. The type of work will involve a high investment in training, particularly around tax technology, as well as broader technical skills while working in a national team of specialists.
Key responsibilities
As a Senior Tax Analyst you will have an impact by helping employers in meeting their Australian employment tax and entitlement obligations including Superannuation Guarantee (SG), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Pay-As You-Go-Withholding (PAYG W), Payroll Tax (PRT), Workers Compensation and broader Wage Compliance.
At RSM we have a heavy focus on integrating tax technology with tax technical and you will be supported in developing the skills to:
- Develop in analytics models
- Design of bespoke technology offerings for our clients
Specifically, technical tasks may include:
- Employer Superannuation Obligations, SGC compliance reviews and preparation of submissions to the ATO
- Assisting clients with broader wage compliance matters
- State Payroll Tax, assisting with investigations, and monthly reporting
- Pay As You Go Withholding obligations
- Advising on Australian tax obligations for employers setting up in Australia
- Review and preparation of FBT returns
- Drafting FBT advice for our clients
About you
You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a professional services firm in a similar discipline and are passionate about learning and developing innovative solutions for clients using technology.
You are collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative team environment. Importantly you show integrity in your work, have a strong attention to detail and are a good communicator.
Data visualisation, cleaning and manipulation skills would be advantageous (not essential).
