Position Summary

As a Senior Tax Analyst you will be involved in all aspects of domestic transaction tax compliance and research. You will use business, finance and commercial skills to evaluate our client’s data to solve problems around all areas of direct tax with a strategic focus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compile tax returns for corporate entities ;
• Research tax issues and draft advice, or technical papers;
• Prepare tax effect accounting work papers;
• Prepare/deliver in-house tax training;
• Ability to understand the following concepts; Assessable Income, Allowable Deductions, Capital Allowances, Fringe Benefits Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Loss Provisions, Transfer pricing and Withholding Tax; and
• Develop a basic understanding of the following concepts; Tax consolidation, Employee Incentive Plans and Foreign Income.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

• Business / Commerce / Finance degree with Accounting Major

Desirable

• Business / Commerce / Finance / Law double degree with Accounting Major
• Commencement or near completion of CA or equivalent

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

Essential

• 2/3 years in a similar role
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
