Position Summary

This position is working in a high performing and motivated team within a fast-growing firm and division. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our Brisbane practice. The day-to-day role will be to maintain up to date bookkeeping and finance functions for our clients. We utilise best of breed technology to automate manual tasks. On the job training, mentoring, technical and soft skill training will be provided.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing daily transactions for a range of different industries from small to medium businesses, foreign inbound and large local corporations,
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Accounts payable processing
  • Accounts receivable processing
  • Payroll and superannuation processing.
  • Preparation of Instalment Activity Statements, Business Activity Statements and multistate payroll tax.
  • Assistance with preparation of month end management accounts
  • Assist managers with drafting client email communications and liaise with clients.
  • Workflow management and working with managers to track deliverables and meet client and regulatory deadlines.  
  • Set up and maintenance of client accounting and finance systems.
  • Preparation of month end management reporting with accuracy and timely to meet client deadlines.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of TAFE Certification IV Account diploma of accounting and bookkeeping; or
  • In progress or having completed a Bachelor of commerce and accounting.

Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

  Essential

  • Preferable experience within either Xero, MYOB Account Right live or Quickbooks online.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, autonomously and great communication skills
  • Process, deadline driven and the ability to multitask.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft office packages, particularly Excel
  • Beneficial to be aware or have used cloud-based accounting apps, Dext, Hubdoc, Employment Hero Pay (Formerly known as KeyPay).
  • Strong work ethic; Strong communication skills both written and verbal
