Position Summary

The Digital Advisory division drives cloud technology adoption of financial and operational solutions for our clients at RSM. The team looks after both existing clients, primarily from the Business Advisory division, and external clients across a range of Digital Advisory services: Strategy (System Review), System Selection, System Implementation, Contracting, Support & Managed Services. The primary role of a Technology Consultant is to service clients in a consulting capacity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct consultations with clients in the form of scoping workshops.
• Summarise client requirements and solicit information from vendors.
• Conduct fact-finds with software vendors.
• Prepare proposals for clients, for approval prior to sending to the client.
• Collate responses from software vendors from RFx exercises into easy-to-interpret charts and summaries.
• Research new technology available on the market against specific or broad criteria for suitability.
• Liaise with software vendors to get the best outcome for a client.
• Excellent capability with System Implementation across the RSM standard finance ecosystem (Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax, Employment Hero Payroll, etc).
• General knowledge of System Implementation across operations systems (Inventory management, Point of sales, Practice management, School records management, etc) is desired.
• Experience integrating third-party applications to Xero desired.
• Project manage both software selections and implementations.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

• Experience in consulting
• Degree holder

Desirable

• Business degree with a major in either accounting or information systems
• CA or CPA qualified ideal

DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

Essential

• 3-5 years’ experience in a customer facing role
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Love and passion for problem solving
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Enjoys being organised and developing processes
• High level understanding of the vendor offering
• Natural affinity with cloud-based applications
