RSM are looking for an outstanding individual to join as a Senior Manager in the Melbourne Data Analytics team. You will play a pivotal role in the team, working closely with the lead Partner to grow the business, deliver client projects and shape the Data Analytics service line for the future. Your ideas and innovations are welcome and there is ample opportunity to shape the role based on your experience and future aspirations.

We are looking for innovative, forward-thinking and talented individuals who have experience in delivering data-driven solutions to clients across any of the following domains: customer analytics, data strategy, data governance, data risk and assurance, process improvement, advanced analytics (e.g. AI and machine learning), reporting and visualization, and robotic process automation.

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing and growing client relationships, leading and delivering cross competency data analytics projects, as well as contributing to the growth and development of the Data Analytics practice in Australia.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders (both internal and external) to understand the market, client requirements and challenges
  • Taking the lead in identifying, designing, developing and delivering data-driven solutions for clients using a range of toolsets and methodologies.
  • Building, managing and growing client relationships by creating trusted relationships and delivering fit-for-purpose and innovative solutions to respond to client needs
  • Developing, coordinating and leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Working closely with other service lines (audit, risk, tax) to embed data analytics into their service delivery models, from strategic planning and extending through to implementation
  • Managing the delivery of client engagements to ensure these are planned and delivered within budget and on time to a high standard
  • Leading and developing proposals for new client projects, supporting the development of service offerings, and supporting go-to-market campaigns and initiatives, including the development of analytic products, assets, and platforms
  • Being proactive in the market, identifying potential clients and undertaking business development activities
  • Driving ongoing growth in the business through the development of staff, leading practice building initiatives as well as key client and service offering responsibilities
  • Assist in uplifting the analytics capability of RSM more broadly
  • Assist in developing the strategic direction of the Data Analytics service line

Candidate experience and skills

  • 8+ years’ experience in a data analytics role, preferably within professional services
  • Demonstrable ability to innovate and think differently
  • Experience in delivering end to end client data analytics projects
  • Experience in developing proposals and business cases
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to articulate the commercial implications of analytic solutions
  • Strong oral and written communication with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
      • Data analytics/data mining
      • Machine learning/AI
      • Data Management including Data Quality, Strategy, Governance
      • Data assurance
      • Risk analytics
      • Business intelligence, reporting and visualisation
  • Proficiency with a range of tools and platforms:
      • SQL, R, Alteryx, KNIME, Python, Tableau, Power BI, AZURE, Snowflake
